ARTIST STATEMENT:
My work is very much about process. There is an underlying visual order that gradually seems to emerge. Working intuitively, I enter a realm of the unknown where there is more of a following than any real choice. Ideas spark with the addition of new layers and marks, bringing clarity to the emerging concept. Finding the right relationship of color, line and form, that is visually stimulating is my goal.
My paintings fall into 2 categories ... Figurative and Abstract. My wish is that each viewer feels as much joy exploring my work, as I have had creating it. Creating art fills my soul with happiness.
ARTIST BIO:
Born in Michigan, Barbara moved to Atlanta, GA when she was 21. There she spent most of her career as a self-taught graphic designer. She currently lives in Santa Fe, NM with her husband, DJ Teeslink, and is now fulfilling her life-long goal to paint full time.

DJ Teeslink creates elegantly simple expressions that form complete solutions for our clients. His ability to understand each client’s business – and their customers – is an essential part of DNA design's success.
Starting as a graphic artist for Atlanta Genigraphics, he worked with the earliest technology for computer graphics. Later he worked at Digital Communications Associates in-house communications department as graphic designer, helping design all corporate print, packaging and electronic media.
Prior to forming DNA design, DJ led several of Atlanta’s premiere design studios into the interactive realm. As their Creative Director, he designed solutions for AT&T, Cartoon Network, Coca-Cola, Harley-Davidson, IBM, Scientific-Atlanta, TBS, Alcatel-Lucent, and XcelleNet, among others. Through his lifelong commitment to design, he has learned how to make the creative discipline an oxymoron that works. Fluent in all media, he strives to deliver memorable solutions to DNA design’s clients that are unique to their brand.
Currently DJ has retired and lives in Santa Fe, NM, but continues to take on design/photo projects that interest him.
